Faith

I have Christened my ship

And named her Faith

My ship has finally come in

For the course of life that I partake

Along the way many a mistake

Left behind her whirl pool wake.

She crests the swells

Her hull sure and sound

The winds fill her sails full round

She surpasses any ship I’ve ever found

Faith sets a journey forever bound

She will carry my spirit free

She is the queen of the sacred sea.

I used to wander the shore alone

Desire filled my plea

Prayers how many I do not know

Made up my rosary

When I called His name

Forsooth, He came

Faith became to be.

For when I am at the wheel

Guiding her keel

There’s no greater feel

Going with the wind

Than fighting the gale

Rest assured  even if I fail

What ever I do…

Where ever she leads me to roam

Faith will find my way back home.
